OVERVIEW
Faith Christian Church (FCC) is a family oriented, non-denominational Christian church located in Bradenton, Florida with an average fall, winter and spring attendance of 350. FCC is a welcoming place with strong core ministry teams including: worship, children’s, youth, prayer and missions.

FCC is looking for a senior pastor that can assist to create a dynamic, shared vision; to foster an environment that will result in consistent leadership and growth of new members; and to deepen existing members’ personal walk with Christ. FCC is blessed with a large, multi-purpose facility and is currently engaged in a successful capital campaign to support future opportunities.

CHARACTERISTICS
Faith Christian Church looks first to the word of God for any position and decision. Accordingly, the primary characteristics of a senior pastor are defined in I Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9, I Peter 5:1-3, Acts 6:4, Acts 20:28-31

RESPONSIBILITIES
Visionary Leadership: Assisting with the creation of a shared, dynamic vision and its implementation throughout staff and membership.

Preaching and Teaching: Using the Bible as the principal source of sermon preparation under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Teach Bible Study series.

Eldership: Senior Pastor will be an elder and as such will have responsibilities for shepherding the flock including prayer, counsel, admonition and visitation.

Staff Leadership: Encourage ministry teams, provide supervision and spiritual guidance to staff, lead staff meetings, provide updates on ministry teams and staff performance to eldership.

Other Pastoral Duties: Facilitate baptisms, weddings, funerals and other Church functions
Responsibilities are the general responsibilities and duties of the Senior Pastor. These duties are subject to change based on the needs of the congregation and are not intended to an exhaustive list.
