We are seeking a Family Life Minister. They will be responsible to lead and equip the paid staff and lay workers in our children s ministries and youth ministries. They will also work with the parents and families in the church and surrounding community.
Meridian Christian Church is a dynamic, contemporary congregation with an average Sunday worship attendance of
280. We have one worship services and a graded program for children concurrent to the adult service. The Children s wing has its own auditorium with stage and sound system seating approx. 125. The services are designed with the un-churched in mind while encouraging our participants as they follow Jesus daily.
Meridian Christian Church is located in Meridian Township just east of Michigan State University (43,000 students). Part of the greater Lansing, Michigan area, Meridian Township is comprised of two sister communities, Okemos and Haslett. Other cities and communities in the immediate area include East Lansing, Williamston, Mason and Holt. Lansing is the capital of Michigan.
Meridian Christian Church was founded in a movie theater in Okemos, MI in 1992. After four years the church moved to the Chippewa Middle School where we met, worshiped, and worked for twelve years. In December of 2008 we moved into our first building (20,100 sq. ft) which has a 500 seat gym/auditorium, kitchen, large welcome center/café, and children s wing.
We currently have a staff comprised of a full-time Senior Pastor and Administrative Minister. We also have a part-time Worship Minister and Youth Minister. If you are interested in joining our team and working with us in equipping our congregation for ministry send a resume along with application.
